Business Communication

This new training is designed to broaden the scope of our courses in English. In addition to the courses on Presentation Techniques, Professional Telephoning and Business Writing this course offers a comprehensive skills package based on several important aspects of business communication. The course aims to highlight the essential elements of communication required to succeed in business environment and to provide plenty of opportunities for spontaneous interactions. Participants will learn techniques how to put forward their points in a confident and assertive way, how to argue efficiently and how to relate to others in a spirit of co-operation. For further reference, participants will receive a workbook with useful phrases and guidelines.

A secure and friendly learning environment which encourages participation through discussions, training video and role plays ensures that participants not only to understand the principles covered, but are able to apply them in practice.

The proportion of the different sub-topics will be adjusted to the participants' individual needs.

- interrupting, joining in, picking up the thread of the conversation
- preventing interruptions, playing for time
- the language of meetings and negotiations

3. How to control the negotiation process?

- the art of persuasion
- a method of assertive arguing
- making proposals
- bargaining and making concessions
- summarising and looking ahead

4. Responding to difficult situations

- avoiding the pitfalls
- resolving disagreement and conflict
- giving and taking criticism
- assertive behaviour and co-operation
